A local authority based in Southwark are looking for a Fleet Manager to join their team. This is an ongoing temporary contract.
The main purpose of the role is to manage the council's Fleet Services Team with responsibility for provision and maintenance of commercial vehicles to business units and schools, and also for provision of staff lease cars.
Manage, monitor and report on the operation and performance of contracts for the provision and maintenance of commercial fleet and staff lease cars.
Provide expert advice to Senior Managers, Members and users of commercial fleet in relation to provision and operation of commercial fleet. Act as the council's nominated officer in dealing with professional and government bodies.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
Demonstrate experience of working in a Fleet or Transport Management role, ideally within a local authority.
